iTunes.

Somewhere Over That Rainbow,
above the Airplanes
are thoughts, Secrets, More Than Words,
that I wish I can tell That Girl

I put up Barriers and wore a Poker Face
in this we call a Masquerade.
This time, Tonight, however, I'm Defying Gravity,
I'll Try.

The Angels tell me,
'Smile and Listen To Your Heart'.
It Ends,
Tonight.

I Dreamed A Dream where you and I
at Vanilla Twilight,
we seat and watch
the Fireflies.

I won't be the Fool (once) Again, Shattered.
The Stupid Things I've done,
I (simply) Can't Let You Go.
This Is Us, and I'm Right Where You Want Me.

Homecoming,
I'm Leavin'
the past behind, my hands in a Prayer (Gi Do)
There Ain't No Sunshine when you aren't around,

I Need You Now.
 I'll Sing For You,
Bleeding
(in) Love.

Someone Tell Her, please,
that she's my Oxygen.
'Why Do I Love You',
I use to ask myself.

Why?
She's A Dream and I'm Helpless
When She Smiles,
and I'm Lost Without You.

This is my Story Of Love.
Will You Fall For Me?
There're No Boundaries.
My Life Would Suck Without You

An any'o'how attempt at stringing song titles together to form a poem (initially meant to be a sentence/a paragraph).
Kinda suck eh? =/ Not too bad I hope. Why don't you give it a try too? =)

BLOOD DONATION DRIVE

I'll be going down for the Blood Donation Drive back in BBSS today! Oh My GOSH! It's gonna be soo awesome and cool! This is gonna be my virgin experience and I'm looking forward to it! I wonder how long will the whole process be.

And after donating blood, I'm PROBABLY gonna meet up with Jingwen to go down to Peninsula to get my guitar. I tell you, daszxcit! I can't put off this anymore, I have to get my new guitar already. I'm gonna remind myself that I have to finish all that I need to do asap and after that, get home and do homework and revision. I'm gonna be a good boy and study hard for the promo's already.

Oh and not forgetting, I only have a week left before I have to return Mr Ang's Six-Easy-Pieces (by Richard Feynman). I have gotta finish the book as much as possible over this weekend if not I'm dead. Alright, this is a short post (my breathe stinks). Maybe I should do some MCQ from the Physics and Chemistry TYS while waiting for time to pass.

So long~

It's been so freaking long since I've last updated the blog! Gosh. My computer has been giving my problems lately. Don't understand why. It hasn't been able to connect to the internet and MSN very well and I haven't got a lead to why is this so.

*PERIOD*

WOHOO! THANKS TO DERRICK CHIN! I THINK WE HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM! Or at least the problem has been solved. GREAT!

Alright, other than that, the past few choir practices have relatively been QUITE successful although little, but's good. It didn't turned out to be as bad as most of us thought I suppose. Have been working on Somewhere Over The Rainbow for the farewell party with most of the tenors and special guests from the bass section, Nicholas and Jon.

Results are back and bad. Dang. Not matter how I should believe that this is normal, the fact is that this is no good. After the various moderations, I passed all my subjects, with 2 Cs, 2 Ds and 2 Es. Not to bad? Sucks to be me. I didn't get the minimum B grade for Physics and it's highly possible that there goes my H3 Physics. Flew right out of the window. But it's okay. I'm just hoping that they will allow me to take H3 Physics if I do well for everything in the promo, then again, that's a lot to ask. As in, I'm not to certain at the rate I'm going I'm gonna do expectedly well.

I haven't been studying/revising, although I should. I spend more time on PW than on revision of the other subjects - that's for sure. Just gotta buck up I guess. But that would probably mean that I'd have to make new arrangements. It would mean that I have to give up the use of the computer on weekdays and stop playing DotA for the whole of the weekend (Saturday or Sunday depending which is my day.). I'd probably have to mug and revise everyday as I should like a true AJsian if I was to catch up with the grades I should be getting.

The weird dream...

I had a relatively weird dream one night. I dreamt of someone out of mind. Like seriously. She never appeared in my dreams before and I totally wouldn't have expected anyone NEW in my dream that I don't even think of in the day, and I haven't got the slightest idea what that dream meant.

Investiture

It's the investiture tomorrow! Hurray! I'm finally get the pin. Cool. Investiture rehearsals have been quite dumb in the sense that it doesn't involve the class leaders much. It concerns the councilors and the CCA leaders more than us. So much for Class Leaders. Just being ridiculous.

Blood Donation Drive!

The chance to donate blood has finally arrived! The annual Blood Donation Drive held at Bukit Batok Second School campus is here once again and it's my chance to play a part as a Singaporean! The idea of being able to donate blood has always been a noble and cool thing to do personally. However, I've never really thought about why I wanna donate blood other than to say that I'm influenced in one way or another by my father who used to be a regular donor until a few months ago his rashes problem appeared.

TEACHER'S DAY

I'm actually quite keen on performing infront of the school for teacher's day this year. But that would mean that I have to master That Girl by next week and I'm not to sure if I can do that. What I'm thinking is that since I'm planned to learn That Girl before I even knew of the Teacher's Day performance so I might as well join and perform it. However, I'm holding back due to the fact that I'm quite worried about performing alone. I'm not too sure if I can fight back against my nerves. That's gonna be a problem. A BIG problem indeed.

Guess that's all for today's update.

MUSIC -- My LOVE

Oh yea! I'm going to attempt to devote more love and time to music from now on. This is probably where my energy and "love" could be better spent on, since my feelings are not reciprocated. Though, wouldn't this be escapism.

My initial first interaction with music had gotta do with love songs. I still remember I use to listen to Chicago, ABBA, Westlife, Backstreet Boys and lots of Jay Chou and JJ Lin songs back when I was in primary school. That was when I first had a computer! It has long been disposed off -- no worries. I remember that I use to get songs from TOH Jun Jie as I didn't know how to make use of torrents, mediafire, nor even baidu then.

My father use to remove the internet connection cable from the computer whenever me and my sister gives him trouble, be it quarrel over the use of the computer (even till now it does occasionally happens) or any other fights we have. Then knowing that there's no connection, my sister would usually find something else to do, while I continue to dominate the computer as I play the songs I have collected. I would play the songs on repeat and on random while I sleep on the floor.

Music dominated my life pretty much since then, I simply can't do without music. Much of my initial interest in music, be it classical, oldies or pop was influenced by my father. Occasionally, he would play Richard Clayderman's piano pieces and I would indulge myself in the beautiful pieces too.

I first joined choir under the influence of SOMEONE, and ended up stuck with BBSS Choir even till now. I suppose Ms Seah (the teacher-in-charge of BBSS Choir) is right to say that some part of me refuses to admit that I have moved on to JC life and BBSS Choir is a thing of a past. Then again it would be heartless to throw it to one corner wouldn't it. In some sense, I joined AJChoir for BBSS Choir too -- I wanted to become better to be able to bring BBSS Choir to greater achievements as long as it's within my means.

Much of the time singing back in primary school probably contributed to my extended vocal range. I use to sing songs like Jesse McCartney and N'Sync, where the range is slightly higher and singers or bands that are prone to using falsetto (Obviously, back then I didn't know what is falsetto. DUH?). So in that sense, it contributed to the reason why I am a Tenor now, I suppose.

My past and present infatuation(s) contributed to my 'music' life too. I still recall that I once wrote 3-4 Chinese love songs (lyrics) for a song composition competition back in Secondary school and that was pretty much a cause after being rejected for the first time then. It also contributed to my love for poetry that is still burning on now. Then came lately after I began to pick up guitar in the last year, I am thinking of composing songs again. And this time, it wouldn't just be Chinese, there's probably gonna be English. After all, I'm a self-proclaimed poet.

Nevertheless, the thought brought about actions that I took in order to accomplish this goal of song composition: I went onto seek help from Melina (a senior of mine, previously from BBSS) and did some self-studying on music theory in hope to be able to compose a song of a certain quality. To tell the truth, it seems to me that song composing isn't easy at all. My knowledge in music theory and guitar seem insufficient and apparently there's a long way to go for me to accomplish this goal, now it seems. Regardless, I'll still be struggling efforts to find time of song composition and I'm bound to succeed in the near future -- I'm sure of it.

Every now and then when the darkness falls, late in the night, to pen down my thoughts and feelings I would take out my dairy - a diary dedicated to her and her alone - in which I would compose the poems. Poems, poems that perhaps only I, myself, would truly understand and feel for. Though I am verdant, though I am neither writer nor poet, I would still pen them all down.

DUM-DEE-DUM-DEE-DUM~

Ahh~ Mid-years are past tense! I screwed up 2 out of 3 of my H2 subjects - Chemistry and Math. Math was utterly pathetic. Like seriously. I skipped most of the questions except for 2-3 of them which I managed to complete. I could only do part or none of the remaining questions. It's quite unbelievable how I managed to stay alive during that 3 hours of torture. Have mercy on me.

Chemistry was a tough nut to crack but it was a few notches easier. At least I haven't go the problem of not being able to answer many of the questions. I wasn't able to answer all of the questions but at least I managed to attempt most. The issue with Chemistry was the lack of time personally. I barely had time for Paper 1 nor Paper 2. The paper pretty much gives you questions that requires you to calculate plenty and little time to even complete shading the OAS. It was terrible. The Chemistry paper demands that you think and calculate like some supercomputer without hesitation, and even with that I'm not even sure if you have time to take a breather or get a sip of water.

I am so glad that Physics wasn't as bad. I can almost safely say that I pwned the paper. Nothing spectacular from the paper, though i did identify a grammar mistake. After physics paper I went for lunch with the class, an early lunch once again at around 11am, at North Point. The food court offers quite a variety of food and it seems like the food are quite delicious. Then there was the Chinese Listenning Compre at 1pm.  Darn waste of time when I could have returned home, get changed and go down to meet Clara earlier for lunch, then there would have been more time for the food to digest and a stomach for dinner and ice cream after we meet up with Sharon at KAP Island Creamery.

Truth to be told, I didn't enjoy very much that afternoon. I felt weird on the whole. It wasn't as enjoyable as the previous meet up. I guess I prefer chatting and talking than to playing chess. It just wasn't spritually enjoyable. I had some fun laughing and playing around, and I definitely do enjoy their company, but it just wasn't BOOMZ. It just wasn't interactive, and spritually fufilling enough. Perhaps it's the itenary or the venue. I'm thinking of finding some new venue where we would enjoy better, at least personally I will that is. But that's gonna be a bit tough, I don't even go out often; this is gonna be demanding.

Which reminds me, I've just written a new poem! Haven't got the time to edit it carefully and expand on it. Chances are I will forget how strongly I felt last night and lose the ability to reproduce the same feeling into the poem. That's gonna be a problem. Just gonna hope that it's fine and once I'm done I'm gonna post it up here and on my poetry blog.

That's all for today's update! Ja-
